Not long ago, I read a video feed from one of my news feeds from another mecha blogger.
It’s about an upcoming new video game by Hasbro (produced by Activision) called Transformers: War on Cybertron.
It’s a game that’s filled with high-octane serious action of combat and war that certainly get a lot of Transformers fans out there wanting to get the taste of this. I thought it would be nice to share with everybody else in this forum, in case anybody else out there missed out!^^
Koei’s proud to present you a whole new gaming experience of their signature game classic series, Dynasty Warriors. JapanVideoGames.com released the latest video game development news from the hack-’n-slash-action gaming vendor, that their new game title Shin Sangoku Musou Multi Raid (or Dynasty Warriors Multi Raid in English) might proved something like a eye-opener for the video game enthusiasts or dynasty warriors hardcore fans alike. It’s said for the first time, it’s got multiplayer capabilities so players can play co-op online. It’s available for PSP, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions so any players from different gaming systems can join a co-op game or fight against each other.
As you would expect for any multiplayer-typed games, it comes with text and voice chat functions as well.
After watching the trailer, (and speaking from a former avid fan of Dynasty game series myself) I must admit this is one of the coolest gaming from the series Koei has ever come up with. I used to love spending hours hacking and slashing away huge hordes of enemies in what-appears-to-be limitless boundary on all Dynasty Warriors series from Dynasty Warriors 3 to 5. (Haven’t tried the 6 cause I don’t have my own PS3). And they’re incredibly fun thanks to this ridiculously simple formula of hack/slash pattern we never so get tired from. I notice plenty of familiar characters get plenty of ‘facelift’ when they transform into demi-gods if you perform certain special moves to attack your opponents.
Hmm. Very exciting!
I wonder what will their plans be for Gundam Musou 2 (see below) counterpart? I wonder what special demi-god’s powers would they be imbued to take on hundreds or thousands of enemy Zakus?
One would wonder…..
Currently, it’s on sale for a retail price of USD $79.99.
After watching the game show video footage, I must say they really know how to throw all the big ‘fireworks’ of all the best games many Japanese video game vendors made ie Square Enix, Koei, Capcom etc, etc. And it’s got a really nice music that blends well with the compilation of the video.
Very nice.
And, towards the last 10 seconds of that video, you will see some giant tank-like robots that come out, pulling out all all the relentless attacks on the enemy battalion, and lots of missiles being launched to target enemy aircrafts. The game is called Front Mission Evolved. It’s said it’s also a RPG-type game that robots can level up, just like your other ordinary Final Fantasy game series. Looks very solid.
Before wrapping things up on this post, I’m going to have to distract you for the moment before you’re done with this…
I just took a glimpse at one of the related Japan’s convention centre video footage, and this one takes us to a special event (held in last August) which showcased robot scientists and engineers made dancing robots getting their grooves on!
Dancing robots!!! Wow! Have a look and be amazed by their ‘acrobatic’ dance moves!
NB: I know it’s gonna a long seven minute wait before you’ll see the ‘goods’. So hope you do have a decent internet broadband at home. Otherwise, it’s just worth the wait to see several hilarious dance moves by these cute mechs! ;)
